Renewable Energy Mission Module
REMM™
Advanced Power Generation For Forward Operating Forces.
REMM™ Renewable Energy Mission Module*.
The REMM™ renewable energy mission module is a mobile, rapidly deployable renewable energy technology that generates power for forward operating bases and other remote locations. Optimized for low to medium velocity winds, the REMM unit is a completely self-contained energy system with a wind turbine and solar panel configuration that retracts easily for storm protection or rapid re-deployment. It functions as a powerful stand-alone energy source or can supply power into a micro-grid system. REMM units can be delivered with the Oshkosh Defense® HEMTT A3 equipped with a Load Handling System. The HEMTT A3 has export power capabilities that can augment the natural energy resources of the REMM units, so the two can provide power for extended periods of time without resupply.
- Reducing the need for liquid fuels, REMM units can be outfitted with expanded capabilities such as water purification or desalination systems
- Packaged on 20 foot (6 m) LHS portable platform for ease of military transport
- Transported on C-130 aircraft
- Auto fold and manual fold blade options
