Autonomous Vehicle Operability

On A Mission to Be Unmanned.

Unmanned vehicle technology has been a vision at Oshkosh Defense for many years. So even before the U.S. Armed Forces announced a goal to have one-third of operational ground combat vehicles unmanned by 2015, Oshkosh Defense was deep into the development of robotic technology. These efforts proved their real-world viability at events such as Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Challenges, establishing that autonomous military vehicles could be a reality sooner rather than later. Today, Oshkosh autonomous operability – TerraMax unmanned ground vehicle technology – has the potential to save lives and help run more efficient military operations.
